My hair is one of my favourite things about myself, so I love trying new products that will keep it even healthier. A few days ago, I received a parcel through the post. I opened it and was so happy to find that Organic Shop had sent me some shampoo, conditioner and a hair mask to try.
What is Organic Shop?
As demand for natural beauty products has been increasing, Organic Shop has launched a new fun and fruity hair care range which has been exclusively developed for retail giant, Tesco.

I love the packaging, it’s so fun and cute, plus with the large lettering, you can see at a distance what the products are, not that I often mix my shampoo and conditioner, honest. The smell is also very pleasant, sweet but also quite natural and light.
The products that I was sent were Honey and Avocado and claimed to be for repair, softness and vitality. Organic honey is sometimes referred to as liquid gold as it is packed with vitamins that help restore shine to lifeless hair and keep frizz under control. Organic Avocado is renowned for moisturising hair that is very dry, promoting strong and healthy hair growth. Now, my hair is usually in really good condition but the prolonged winter weather here in the UK has absolutely given it a battering. Growth, well that’s not something I tend to struggle with.
Recently I have been using various different products to try put a bit of life back into my hair and as you can see from the photo below, the ends are pretty dry and the shine isn’t as lustrous as usual.
While using the three products provided I immediately noticed that you don’t need a lot of product. A little definitely goes a long way. My hair is thick and dense so if I washed my hair more than once a week I could easily get through a 250ml bottle of shampoo in a month… conditioner, even quicker. With this product, I used a few pumps and that was enough. Less than half the product that I normally would have used. To give the hair mask a fair try, I followed the instructions exactly and left it on for 3 minutes. My hair is naturally quite textured so I tend to find that a lot of products just sit on the surface and don’t really penetrate but surprisingly, this did. As I normally let my hair dry naturally, I did the same. I did find that my hair wasn’t as tangled as normal and it was so much easier and quicker to brush out… which I loved.
The next morning was the true test. Usually, I would wake up with quite frizzy hair after letting it air dry so I just shove it into a messy bun and off I go, however despite a little bit of frizz I actually opted to wear my hair down and got quite a few comments from friends. Today, two days after I washed my hair, I decided to quickly straighten my hair just to get rid of the little bit of frizz and my hair looked and felt amazing. I will definitely be using this product again.
Well, at £2.50 for a 250-280ml product, I would say the value for money on these items is really good. Overall, I liked the products and they worked really well. I really love how my hair felt after using these products and I will definitely by sticking with this brand in the future. Even Matt used some on his beard and he commented on how soft it felt. I think he’s a fan too.
The only downside to this product is that I didn’t really notice any increase in shine and my hair didn’t necessarily feel any stronger than it did before using the product, although I have only used it once so that could be an accumulative thing. That said, it has definitely made my hair softer and less tangled and for my that is a massive plus point.
So, what are you waiting for… head to Tesco and check it out for yourself!
Please note, different hair types respond differently to products so you may not get exactly the same results as me. That said, the products should still work well for you so if you do try them, let me know what you think…
